I am extremely grateful to be a recipient of the James B. Morris Scholarship because the scholarship will help contribute to eliminating the many financial burdens I will face during my college journey. I worked hard in Advanced Placement and accelerated courses throughout my high school career in order to pursue my college and career goals, and if it weren't for local scholarships like the James B. Morris Scholarship I wouldn't have the opportunity to attend Spelman. Receiving this scholarship is a friendly reminder that all my hard work is paying off and that my community not only wants to see me become successful but also wants to help contribute to my success.
